2026 Top Art Exhibition

Top Art is on tour for 2026, and Toi Tauranga Art Gallery is beyond happy to be back on the map! The exhibition by the 2025 Level 3 ākonga will be located in the Creativity Centre from Wed 15–Sun 19 Jul, 10am–4pm.

The 2026 exhibition features 27 portfolios in painting, photography, and printmaking, alongside 23 portfolios in digital moving image and digital sculpture.

Top Art is an annual touring exhibition featuring a selection of NCEA Level 3 portfolios that achieved Excellence in Visual Arts in the previous year.

Top Art gives secondary students and teachers an opportunity to see what's required to achieve Excellence at Level 3. It also allows members of the public to see the high-quality art created in schools.

This exhibition is made possible with New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
