Refund policy

Event Cancellation and Refund Policy

1. Event Cancellation by the Gallery

If the Gallery cancels an event for any reason, ticket holders are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price, as required under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment within 10 business days of the cancellation notice.

2. Customer Cancellations

If you are unable to attend, please note that tickets are non-refundable unless required under New Zealand law. Refunds are not available for a change of mind or personal circumstances. However, tickets may be transferred to another person at no additional charge — please contact us to update the attendee details.

3. Exceptional Circumstances

Refund requests due to illness, emergency, or other extenuating circumstances will be considered at the Gallery’s discretion. Supporting documentation may be required.

Shop Returns & Refunds

Toi Tauranga Art Gallery is committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service.

If you wish to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of purchase at retail@artgallery.org.nz

Refunds are available for items in original condition, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. We do not offer store credit or a gift voucher in exchange for a product.

If your item is faulty or damaged, we will repair, replace, or refund it in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If an item returned as faulty is later found not to be faulty, delivery costs may apply.

Change-of-mind returns are at the discretion of Toi Tauranga Art Gallery and must meet the same 14-day timeframe and condition requirements. Delivery costs for change-of-mind returns or exchanges are non-refundable, and additional delivery fees apply to exchanged items.

Exclusions: Sale items, gift vouchers, and earrings and perishable goods are final sale and are not eligible for refund or exchange unless faulty.

All refunds will be processed using the same payment method as the original transaction.

Shop Payment & Pricing

All prices listed on the Toi Tauranga Art Gallery online shop are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, and other methods as displayed at checkout. Your payment will be processed securely at the time of purchase.

Prices and product availability are subject to change without notice. In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will contact you to arrange a refund or suitable alternative.

Toi Tauranga Art Gallery reserves the right to correct any errors in pricing or description that may occur on the website.
