Almost Touching Jaime Jenkins

Almost Touching is Jaime Jenkins first solo public gallery exhibition. Presented for the first time in her hometown of Tauranga Moana, this show is a survey of recent and new works that embody the organic, intricate and architectural forms of the natural environment. Created from hand-built ceramics and teetering on the edges of functionality and fragility, each artefact and installation within this exhibition offers a unique insight into Jenkins ambiguous and poetic visual language.

Almost Touching has been developed in partnership with The Dowse Art Museum. Curated by Karl Chitham (Ngāpuhi), it will  show at the Dowse in 2027.
