Discover different forms of storytelling through traditional Cook Island ura (dance) with Cook Island–Australian artist Morgan Hogg. Learn techniques in kapa rima (dance using hands) and ura pa’u (drum dance), woven with tales of Pacific mythology and ancient histories that create a world within dance.

This workshop is inspired by the exhibition It Takes a Village (open 2 August), a celebration of family and community across 20 artworks from the Art Gallery’s collection. Attend one or all four sessions to deepen your connection to the artwork through movement.
