Out of the gate and off for a walk went…Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy!

These April school holidays, we’re celebrating the timeless charm of Hairy Maclary and friends and one of Aotearoa’s most beloved storytellers, Lynley Dodd. 

In partnership with Downtown Tauranga, we're hosting two FREE, immersive Hairy Maclary storytime events for all the whānau to enjoy in the heart of Tauranga — Friday 10 and Saturday 11 April, 10.30am–12pm.

Whether you’re a fan of Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy, Slinki Malinki the mischievous moggy, or Zachary Quack the curious duckling, there’s something here for every little (and big) reader.

Across two special mornings, you and your whānau can experience a live reading of Hairy Maclary and Friends classics with Lynley Dodd herself, plus book signings, spot prizes, and the chance to explore the Gallery.
