Step into a world of independent publishing, radical self-expression, and handmade brilliance at Tauranga Zinefest — a free, highly visual, community event celebrating creativity on the fringe on Sat 31 Oct, 10am–3pm.

Whether you’re a seasoned zinester or simply zine-curious, this is your chance to explore a diverse array of zines (pronounced “zeen”) covering everything from politics to pop culture, poetry to punk, feminism to food.

Meet the makers, swap stories, and discover one-of-a-kind works you won’t find on mainstream shelves. Browse, buy, or even create your own — it’s a space where all voices are welcome, and imagination knows no bounds.

Zinefest provides a safe, independent platform of expression for everyone and anyone, including Māori and other BIPOC communities, rangatahi, disabled people, the LGBTQIA+ community, and people with limited economic resources.

Register to be a stall holder at taurangafestival.co.nz/tauranga-zinefest and join us in celebrating 10 years of the Tauranga Zinefest.
